This Cancellation Policy applies to bookings and travel-related services purchased from Travetory through its website, payment links, email, telephone, messaging channels, or other authorised sales channels.
1. Role of Travetory
Travetory acts primarily as a travel facilitator/intermediary unless it expressly states that it is the provider of a particular service. Travel services may be provided by airlines, hotels, tour operators, transport operators, activity providers, visa/service providers, insurers, destination management companies, or other third-party suppliers.
Travetory is responsible for services it directly provides and its applicable facilitation and booking obligations. The actual provision, cancellation, modification, rescheduling and refundability of a third-party travel service are subject to the relevant supplier's terms.
2. Booking-Specific Terms
Cancellation rights and charges vary by service and booking. The cancellation terms specifically communicated in a quotation, invoice, itinerary, booking confirmation, payment link, email/message, or supplier terms form part of that booking.
Where there is an inconsistency, the booking-specific terms and applicable supplier terms govern the relevant service, subject to applicable law.
3. Customer Cancellation Request
Customers may request cancellation through Travetory's published support details or the details in the booking confirmation. The request should include the booking/reference number, customer name, contact details, and service to be cancelled.
A cancellation request is effective when received and acknowledged by Travetory, unless the booking terms provide otherwise. Charges are determined by the applicable terms and the time the valid request is received.
4. Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges may be imposed by Travetory, the relevant supplier, or both. Supplier cancellation charges, non-refundable amounts, visa/application fees, service/convenience/booking/processing fees, administrative charges, and other amounts disclosed before payment may be deducted from any refundable amount.
Where a supplier permits only a partial refund, Travetory will refund only the amount actually recoverable under the applicable booking terms, after applicable disclosed deductions.
A service expressly identified as non-refundable before payment will ordinarily not be refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed otherwise by Travetory.
5. Changes and Modifications
A change request is not automatically a cancellation. Changes may be subject to supplier rules, availability, fare/rate differences, supplier change fees, and Travetory modification fees. Applicable charges will be communicated before the change is confirmed, where practicable.
6. Supplier-Initiated Cancellation or Non-Availability
If Travetory or a supplier cancels a confirmed service, or the booked service becomes unavailable, Travetory will assist with the remedy available for that booking, which may include an alternative arrangement, credit, or refund.
Where the remedy or refund is controlled or funded by a supplier, Travetory's obligation is limited to the remedy or amount available under the applicable supplier terms, subject to applicable law.
7. No-Show and Late Cancellation
Failure to use a booked service without cancelling within the applicable cancellation period may be treated as a no-show. No-show and late-cancellation charges are governed by the applicable booking and supplier terms and may result in no refund.
8. Flights, Hotels, Packages, Visas and Other Services
Different services may have different cancellation conditions. Customers should review the cancellation terms provided for the relevant service before payment.
Visa approval is outside Travetory's control. Visa rejection, delay, or non-issuance does not by itself create a right to a full refund. Visa/application charges and travel-service cancellation costs may be non-refundable where permitted by the relevant terms.
9. Direct Cancellation with a Supplier
If a customer cancels or modifies a booking directly with a supplier, the customer should promptly inform Travetory and provide the relevant details. Travetory may require evidence of the supplier's action before processing any corresponding refund.
10. Force Majeure and Operational Disruption
Travetory will not be responsible for failure or disruption caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics or epidemics, government restrictions or orders, war, civil unrest, strikes, transport or airline disruption, or significant technical or operational failures.
Travetory will assist with options available under the applicable supplier and booking terms. Any refund will be limited to the amount refundable under those terms, subject to applicable law.
11. Unconfirmed Bookings
If payment is received but the requested booking cannot be confirmed, Travetory may offer an alternative with the customer's consent. If no acceptable alternative is agreed, Travetory will process the applicable refund in accordance with the Refund Policy and applicable law.
12. Refunds Following Cancellation
Where a cancellation qualifies for a refund, it will be handled under Travetory's Refund Policy. Online-payment refunds will generally be processed through the original payment mechanism and not as cash, except where required by applicable law.
13. Policy Changes and Applicable Law
Travetory may update this policy from time to time. The version and terms applicable to a booking are those communicated at the time of purchase, subject to applicable law.
This policy is governed by the laws applicable in India. Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory statutory consumer right or remedy.
14. Customer Support and Grievances
For cancellation requests, complaints, or questions, customers should use the support and grievance details published by Travetory on its website or in the booking confirmation.
